About the Summit: The Diversity Summit’s intention is to ensure that our sponsors and attendees gained the knowledge, tools, leadership skills, and extensive recognition for their participation.
The Diversity Summit’s goals were to:
Share best practices in achieving diversity in a competitive market
Equip employers with essential tools to attract, promote, and retain a diverse workforce
Reevaluate the strengths of diversity through participation in a number of interactive sessions
Visualize a common goal for the region through dialogue
Engage participants in stimulating discussions regarding the impact of globalization on diversity
Each year the Urban League of San Diego County Diversity Advisory Council hosts an annual summit to help the League raise funds for programs and services. Our annual summits are usually done in conjunction with Diversity Awareness Month and are also presented to raise awareness as well as recognize the contributions of those companies and individuals who have served in various positions to raise public awareness around diversity.
