Welcome the Urban League of San Diego County Young Professionals


The Urban League of San Diego County Young Professionals (ULSDCYP) is an auxiliary of the Urban League of San Diego County. This dynamic group is comprised of key local talent, ages 21 to 40, who are committed to corporate, social and community activism.
The ULSDCYP is one of more than 36 chapters of the National Urban League Young Professionals that support the League's five-pronged agenda:
  • Education and Youth Empowerment
  • Economic Empowerment
  • Health and Quality of Life Empowerment
  • Civic Engagement and Leadership Empowerment
  • Civil Rights and Racial Justice Empowerment

YP Scholarships
Need money for school? The ULSDC Young Professionals are providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current college students. In keeping with the Urban League's commitment to community service, the scholarships will be awarded to students that demonstrate a commitment to community outreach.

Membership

Our members come from various professional backgrounds. We define "professional" as anyone who is committed to his or her career, community and personal development - no matter the chosen occupation.

To become a member of the Young Professionals you must be:
  • Between the ages of 21 and 40
  • Dedicated to improving our communities
  • Committed to seeking innovative solutions to persistent societal problems
